Our main focus is creating exceptional dairy flavors with a proven proprietary process that is guaranteed to make a difference in your final product. From fermentation to culture technology, our staff combines decades of experience with an uncompromising can-do attitude.

OUR OPERATION

First Choice Ingredients is headquartered in the heart of dairyland, in Germantown, Wisconsin. Established in 1994, the FCI campus has now grown to three facilities and over 40,000 square feet of production and R&D space. This includes wet and dry production, a variety of application labs, warehousing, and an expanded tasting center.

Led by former Iowa Hawkeyes defensive lineman Jim Pekar, First Choice Ingredients is the product of a lifetime of hard work, discipline and determination. Jim learned these values from Hall of Fame Coach, Hayden Fry and puts them to work every day. You can see the results in our product quality and legendary customer service.

ROGER MULLINS

Executive Vice President

Roger is the science behind the flavors at First Choice Ingredients. With decades of experience creating customized flavor profiles and a variety of products for Fortune 500 food companies, Roger is in charge of all research and development at FCI. Roger leads a team of food scientists, technologists and chemists in the lab and on the production floor, making sure all FCI products are in compliance and continue to meet the high standards established in 1994.

Director, R&D and Applications

When it comes to creative flavor problem solving, Pam is known as one of the foremost experts in the dairy industry. As the former Director of Cheese and Dairy Development at the world’s largest flavor company, Pam brings over three decades of experience to FCI. Pam directs our Applications team and is constantly working to bring new and interesting product innovations to our customers.

TOM ATKINSON

Chief Financial Officer

Tom is a Certified Public Accountant with an entrepreneurial spirit and over two decades of experience. Tom has a passion for implementing initiatives which focus on efficiency and best practices, while increasing product quality. Tom is dedicated to the continual improvement of the customer experience utilizing advanced strategy with CMS systems, data analytics and enhanced process procedures.
